Placemaking Sessions
A Gathering on AI and Creative City making – Coming in 2026.
In 2026, Dom Jinks and Charles Landry will host a curated gathering of placemaking specialists, civic innovators, and urban provocateurs to explore how artificial intelligence is reshaping the art of citymaking.
Inspired by their co-authored piece When Silicon Meets Cobblestone, this event will dive into the messy, imaginative space where algorithms meet ancient streets. Expect provocations, case studies, and collaborative inquiry—not PowerPoint decks.
We’ll hopefully be joined by voices from across Europe’s urban AI frontier and a range of interested innovators . This isn’t about tech for tech’s sake—it’s about how AI can amplify human creativity, deepen democratic participation, and help cities think with imagination.
This is not a conference. It’s a conversation.
A chance to ask:
What does it mean to be a creative city in the age of intelligent machines?
And:
How do we ensure the future of placemaking remains wonderfully, chaotically human?
If you’re interested in joining the room, get in touch. We’re curating it with care.
